Our Story

We pay tribute to the social clubs in India that originated during the British Raj. After India’s Independence, these clubs became exclusive membership-driven venues.

The Kolkata Club was born out of nostalgia: our memories of going to the clubs with our parents when we were children, and then ourselves as adults; lazy conversations over a cup of tea or a drink at the bar, the comfort of meeting the same people regularly, and a menu that we had almost memorized

“Absolute best experience ever! I was ordering for a family function needing some vegetarian and some non-vegetarian. The chef explained what each dish was and helped me choose quantities. All staff were very friendly. They open on Sunday at 1pm. The owner helped me out with my timing needs and even called to advise my order could be filled early to fill my needs. The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere. The hostess was very sweet and attentive to patrons while still helping me. Lots of patrons and take out orders going out. The restaurant is clean and a beautiful atmosphere to host a party another time. I cannot say enough and truly thank you for making our day special! You deserve more than 5 stars.”
